Christmas in Miami

sunday brunch at news cafe, miami beach

Well, while I don't celebrate Christmas myself, the Holiday Season in Miami Beach is definitely special! The atmosphere is so peaceful and relaxed, you can definitely tell that there's something extraordinary going on! The streets were so quiet yesterday, it was pretty nice!

One of my favorite things to do on a Holiday or weekend is to have Brunch with family or friends. My top 3 picks are:

1. The Van Dyke Cafe on Lincoln Road is my favorite place to go for a relaxing Sunday brunch. Mornings on Lincoln Road are great, because people are out and about, relaxing and strolling through the shops and Sunday Street Market...The Van Dyke is a great place to perch at an outdoor table, feel the breeze, order some fresh fruit, some quiche and sip a mimosa or coffee and people-watch!

2. Nikki Beach, as I mentioned in my previous post, is an ultra chic and trendy place to go on Sunday afternoons. Pick a comfy lounge chair under an umbrella and a attendant wearing crisp, all-white linen will be at your every beck and call to offer you drinks, fresh fruits or anything you'd like to order from their scrumptious menu.

3. The Atlantic - Any place on Ocean Drive is great for an early Sunday Brunch, because being across from the Ocean early in the morning is such a great feeling. But I have to admit that I'm partial to eating at The Atlantic of all places, because of the clean white Art Deco architecture and because it's one of the newer cafes on Ocean Drive.

There are so many great places to choose from! But the best way to find out what you like...is to explore! Let me know what you discover :)

I love Miami

I love living in Miami Beach. I mean, where else can you be strutting around in a bikini on the beach in the middle of December? This weekend, for example I relaxed on the beach. The weather was absolutely perfect. Then we had a nice Sunday brunch at News Cafe on Ocean Drive...it was a very pleasant weekend to say the least :)
